This Deep Dive has been arranged in response to interests in woodwork arising among some of our Curiosity Hub participants but is also open to anyone in the home educating community. It will introduce the joys and skills of working with wood, making things from wood and tool use. We are also exploring the possibility of other ‘making’ style workshops happening on site concurrently that day. All materials and tools will be provided with appropriate risk assessment, supervision and insurance in place.
Who?
Led by ‘Wood Woman’ Imogen and hosted at Cambridge Makers, there are two session times with suggested age ranges to choose from with a maximum of 7 young people per session. The age range is 7-16 but please note parents are required to stay with age 7 children and older ones can be dropped off (although also fine to stay if your child needs you to - please let us know when booking).
