Wind in the Willows drama workshop - 3 & 4 July, CB4 2EZ

£59.00

Interested children are invited to spend two days bringing The Wind in the Willows to life through drama, storytelling, making and imaginative play.

Together we will create our own version of this much-loved story, exploring characters, scenes and ideas through games, drama activities, prop-making and creative collaboration. Children might choose to perform, direct, design, build, create props or help shape the story in other ways.

This is a Deep Dive workshop—part of the Waymakers model where children choose learning experiences based on their interests. Expect creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, storytelling and plenty of opportunities to follow your own path through the project. No prior knowledge of the story is necessary.

The workshop will finish with a relaxed sharing for families, showcasing what we have created together.

Who?

Led by much-loved local drama teacher and Waymakers facilitator Barry Evans, who has been running drama workshops for home educated children in Cambridge for over 20 years.

Ages 8–13 (please get in touch if your child falls outside this age range). Do ask if you’d benefit from a sibling discount.

This is a drop-off workshop. Parents are welcome to stay nearby or join in as needed. Please be aware if minimum numbers are not reached, we may need to cancel.

When and where?

10am–3pm on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th August.

Orchard Park Community Centre, Cambridge.

Families are invited back at 2pm on the Tuesday for a sharing of the children's work and creations.
