Online learning

Waymakers Associate, Emma Bressington, has created a truly flexible and affordable membership programme for home educated children. It is for ages approximately 6-13 who would benefit from having some ready-to-access materials that will help them find the balance of structure and autonomy that works for them.

Emma has worked in education for over 25 years and her main focus is always on fostering a love of learning. She has a wealth of experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and is especially skilled at supporting neurodivergent learners. Emma's materials also come with summaries of skills and concepts covered which can help with evidencing access to learning should that be required.

Emma is always open to ideas and is available for advice and support to her home ed members and knows how important it is to build a connection and rapport with learners so is available for intro chats as needed to help you get started.

Emma's home education membership is designed for those who like or prefer online learning or just enjoy having a bit of a framework to follow, without losing the much-needed autonomy and freedom that makes home education so special and personalised.

Members have access to both live and pre-recorded lessons plus teacher-written materials featuring fun and engaging activities with gentle guidance that you can pick up when it suits you. It's designed to be used flexibly and is easily differentiated for different ages and abilities, with each lesson and unit being stand alone as needed - leaving that all-important space for your child’s interests to lead the way.

No timetables, just having the option to explore a theme and create your own rhythm that works for your family and helps learning feel joyful. There are also opportunities to join live lessons and monthly sharing and celebration sessions (a bit like a virtual project fair!) and there's a safe and secure platform for sharing work and ideas. Access to multiple theme materials with new themes being added all the time are included in the membership. Emma also welcomes young people's suggestions for themes.

“Emma is really fun and her lessons keep me interested. I particularly love the art lessons. It’s not like school because I get to pick topics I care about and decide how and when to do them.”
