Cookery Deep Dive

We were glad of the kitchen again today at our current Springstead base to host our facilitator Aasia Bibi from Learn to Cook and seven keen home-educated young people with a passion for cooking. Aasia has been teaching people to learn to cook in and around the Cambridge area since 2014 and has run 'cooking on a budget', Mediterranean, vegan, vegetarian, baking and Indian cookery classes and courses.

With Aasia's expert input, the group created delicious pasta bake dinners to take home. To ensure all needs and preferences were met, one table did a vegan and gluten-free version and the other table made a dairy and wheat version. We were so grateful to have a lovely DBS-checked formal parent volunteer on hand to help everyone get involved in prep, taking turns, and tidying up.

We are about to tuck into the dish my daughter proudly brought home and email parents of those who came this post, photos and link to the recipe. The recipe was also shared for anyone who couldn't make it and has a budding chef who'd like to give it a try - we'd love to see photos of the results if they do!
