What?

We are pleased to offer a Waymakers educational visit at the Parliament Education Service's dedicated education centre in Westminster, adjacent to the Houses of Parliament. The visit will include an immersive film and activities in the Education Centre, followed by a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster to see the House of Commons and Lords, with activities exploring democracy and the possibility of meeting an MP if one is available on the day. It will be a comprehensive, hands-on democratic learning experience. The visit itself is free so we are only charging a small booking fee to cover organisation and admin costs to simplify the process which can be a bit convoluted for home educators not attending as a group.

Who?

Waymakers has shared Waymakers guiding values with the Parliament Education service and secured a slot so that several mainly Cambs-based home educated children can attend together. The session will be staffed and delivered by the Parliament Education Service Staff. Age range is 7-18 and parents are required to stay with their children. A virtual tour is also available for those who cannot attend or would like to know what to expect in advance.

When and where?

Date to be confirmed and will be shared on the Waymakers Whatsapp group as soon as it's available to book.
