What?
Canoeing and paddleboarding skills sessions for home educated group and informed by Waymakers guiding values. Sessions will draw on maths, science, English, geography and PE purely through incidental learning as children have fun exploring these sports safely and with expert guidance.
Canoeing is a superb outdoor activity which involves team work, communication, confidence building and a real sense of adventure. Paddleboarding is an exciting activity focusing on personal challenges, adventure and water safety whilst improving agility and balance. It is very easy to learn, very safe, and very inclusive, which adds to the many reasons why it is so popular and well-loved.
Who?
Waymakers has carefully briefed Grafham Water on anticipated range of needs in a mixed age home education group and worked closely with them on understanding the Waymakers guiding values. The session will be staffed and delivered by Grafham Water. Age range is 8+ and there are various options for drop off, staying on site or participating with your child to best meet their needs.
