Deep Dive: Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet - who killed Mercutio?? // 10.30-1.30 // Cherry Hinton
What?
This drop-off workshop will look at acting choices in a scene from Romeo and Juliet where Romeo's friend Mercutio is (spoiler alert) fatally stabbed! How does it happen? Whose fault is it? How does it make what happens afterwards so tragic?
Through the study of a scene we will look at how the way performers decide to play a scene makes all the difference. Included will be fun games and exercises as well as a brief look at Shakespeare's language to quell any fears! No experience in acting or the text necessary but a willingness to join in actively with a group is essential.

Brought to you by much-loved local drama teacher and Waymakers Curiostiy Hub facilitator, Barry Evans (see Who We Are pages) who has been running drama workshops for home educated children in Cambridge for over 20 years. Due to content, thematic and practical, this is recommended for 11+
When and where?
10.30-1.30 Wednesday 7 January 2026 at Springstead Community Living Room.
